Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.

Oh man, I am really bummed about this one since I heard nothing but good things about it. Objectively speaking there was nothing wrong with it. The world and magic were interesting.

The problem that I had was that I just didn't care about any of it. There was nothing special. It felt like every YA book in existence. The characters were bland and the romance unoriginal.

I thought she was gonna end up with the prince and he was gonna betray her. But alas, we get another enemies-to-lovers with a broody dark haired men. I should have guessed that the prince wasn't the love interest because he has light brown hair
