pleasantly surprised by how much i liked this one. i always avoided books about the holocaust because i was worried they'd be too difficult to read or understand but this one was quite accessibly written. though maybe it helps that its from the perspective of a german citizen, and also that i listened to it as an audiobook. anyway, its good would recommend
