Practice Makes Perfect by Sarah Adams

This is doing too much and not enough. The lessons aren't what they should be (sweet and innocent and chivalrous ways to boost her confidence). They're grossly sexual from the jump despite the fact they're supposed to be FIRST DATE PRACTICE

The different relationship goals is not executed correctly to actually add tension because there's no risk of her ever actually settling down with anyone else. Instead it feels like the classic trope of a woman waiting around for some man to finally grow up and be willing to get married

There are a bunch of elements that just don't work or add value, like the town petitioning against this relationship, or like Amelia trying to play all sides at the same time, or the secondary LIs that clearly have no meaningful role

Focus down, get your head out of the bedroom, and you could make a beautiful romance. The characters and the setting are promising, but I'm so sick of romance authors putting the cart before the horse and getting so sloppy
