Incredibly slow start - to the point I almost DNF. I was 30% in. But once the plot FINALLY happens, it's a good pace and interesting story. However, I did not really care about the characters, idk why. I did find the ending pretty satisfying and like there was really no other good and great ending.
I'd have rated this higher were the men in this book not cartoonishly evil. Like, what do you mean not a SINGLE mage/man thought what they were doing was wrong?
