Oliver Twist
by Charles Dickens
I feel this book is lacking in just about every way. The story, characters, theme, and setting all feel forced to show how bad the England of the time actually was. Nothing truly feels close a story. Likewise, all the "good" things that happen to Oliver are by pure chance alone. How does breaking into someone's house reveal them to be your aunt? None of it is probable, making the overall story, already quite boring and tedious mind you, flat out feel like a jumbled legend worth nothing in the modern day.
