My queen of small-town romance has entered her romantasy era and she's absolutely killing it.
This book is more than I'd been expecting. It has immaculate world-building that is so, so easy to understand, it has characters that you'll absolutely love, and a slow burn that sizzles so damn long that the eventual snap of tension was perfection.
Not to mention the MANY twists and turns that happen in the last quarter of this book. My jaw felt like it was permanently on the ground. And that last chapter?!?! WHAT IS GOING ON?!?! I need answers because nothing is making sense and that's exactly the feeling Perry wants you to have and I hate her for that (but not really... more in the way that the Guardian and Odessa hate each other)
All in all a great start to the series and I'm so excited for the rest of the trilogy. I can honestly say that I have no idea where we go from here but I can't wait to find out.
