A fun, fast, compelling read for modern moms. I won this in a GoodReads giveaway and I couldn’t put it down. My 3 YO kept slipping my bookmark back into it. 🤣

I really enjoyed the storylines for Lauren and Sophie. Very compelling and relatable for a lot of women. Not enough money, not enough time, awful ex-husbands. Madeline was harder to relate to but ‘wealthy enough to not work’ often is.

I spent a good chunk of time being frustrated with Madeline. Talk. To. Your. Fucking. Kid. I grew tired of wanting to shout this at the character. She was so scared of losing her daughter, she let her be an entitled brat. Good character, and the writing made it make sense, but frustrating nonetheless. 

I like the relationship Sophie found but it took too long to happen. If you want me to buy it, sell it to me. Start developing it sooner and in smaller ways. Overall though, enjoyable and well done women’s fiction.
