I liked it. The magic is really interesting and Samira is probably my favorite character.

There were a few really big holes and questions for me

Like why is the Sire doing what he is doing. I have no real knowledge of his motivations and it doesn't seem like anyone else knows either.

. Hopefully the second book will answer those questions.
