Friday, Volume 1 by Ed Brubaker, Marcos Martín, Muntsa Vicente

5.0

My main problem with this book is that it ends right as things feel like they are kicking in. Martin really captures something beautiful in his drawings, nailing both small intimate action and the larger New England cityscape. The premise is fun, “post-YA” adultification of your Nancy Drews with the added complications of human emotions and unhuman Lovecraftian nightmares (or at least, the vibe of them). I will definitely be keeping up with this series.
