There's something rather fascinating and exceptional about Raymond Carver and his short stories. This collection sits on the darker, ambiguous side of love, loss, friendship and pride. Each story is evocative, provocative, and in some ways wistful in a modest and honest way.

Thoroughly enjoyed combing through this set. It's definitely piqued my imagination about life from a lifetime I know not much about, and comparing it to the modern love stories we hear these days. What a time to love and live.
