Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan

3.0

I enjoyed this book, 3.5 stars.

Nora is a screenwriter who falls in love with the leading actor in her movie. They are thrown together at the beginning of the book because the film is getting shot at Nora's house.

I really enjoyed the authors descriptions of Nora's property and home/tea house. I also loved the kids and their inclusion in the story.

Mild spoiler:

I dont know how I feel about Nora and Leo's romance. Particularly after Leo leaves and doesn't return, which is about half way, I spent the vast majority of the time before the reveal of what had happened believing that there was no way that Leo was going to be able to redeem himself in my books. But Monaghan does a good job and makes you see how it all could have taken place although I do wonder why his assistant didn't fill Nora in.

Skipped one section for content. Also they definitely had unhealthy relationships with alcohol that they should work on. And it was a bit weird that there were no consequences for just constantly showing up uninvited in their house at the beginning.
