This book is extremely slow and repetitive. Grace spends the first half of the book being depressed before magical ocean space aliens give her psychic powers and the last half of the book telling us repeatedly that all living things are connected.
There are fast friends, and a bit of a struggle with a one dimensional antagonist, before everything is tied up with a neat little bow.
