i really did not expect to hate this book as much as i did. if it wasn't for a book club, i would have probably dnf'd. 

i found the main character/narrator to be SOOOO annoying. he was so cocky that it was just unenjoyable to read. i don't mind unreliable narrators, but i don't think you are supposed to announce that?? like you need to let me trust you so then i'm WOW'd when you were lying. 

the death scene happening like 5 times was so dramatic and i literally was ready for the book to be DONE. also, not finding out about the "death" until 50% is CRAZY. please drop that earlier on so i can actually be interested. by that point i did not care and was fed up. i don't know that i will ever read this authors work again.
