Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer

4.0

When this book was announced, I was extremely excited to relive my Twilight years. If you have read the series, there are no surprises in terms of the overall plot, but you will definitely appreciate the references to the other books and seeing the characters and story arcs explored at greater depth. I also found that viewing Bella from Edward’s perspective revealed additional facets of her personality. My main criticism is that Edward is extremely introspective - unsurprisingly resulting in a lengthy addition to the series. Personally, I would have made the book more concise in places, but overall an enjoyable read as a (now older) fan.
