A House for Hermit Crab by Eric Carle

3.0

Eeeeeh....not one of Carle's better works. It does manage to educate the reader about not only hermit crabs, but a few other ocean creatures, which is nice. But there's nothing really....catching about this book. I could see myself forgetting this very soon, so it's good I managed a review only a couple days after reading.

I wish there was more I could say to describe this book. I have nothing really to say for or against it. It's not like Carle was "calling it in" or anything. It's just...there.

Certainly worth a try if you have a Carle-obsessed kid, but don't feel the need to gift this or get it for your own home. Pretty much every public library has a wide selection of Carle books on the shelves, so try there.
