It was fine I guess. I wanted to read this book because there is so much debate around it and I technically never read it in high school even though it was assigned 🫣
There were moments that were interesting, funny, and cute. But overall it is a very basic storyline that I think is more relatable for boomer white folx. There are many books that offer similar analysis and conversations in a more relatable context and fashion. Not a bad book, but not worth the hype that the canon has given it.
