The Girl in 6E by A.R. Torre
4.0

I'm surprised by how much I liked this. I was intrigued but wasn't totally on board with the premise when I started it, but boy did it hook me. It gripped me and disturbed me from the very beginning.
Frankly, the glimpse into camming was really interesting and something I've never even thought of before. Although considering how many fetishes this book discusses that I've never even heard of, I guess it's no surprise that camming has never been on my radar.
This book is not a romance, it is a thriller with lots of sex. Deanna is surprisingly likeable and I was oddly touched by her sympathetic interactions with her pathetic clients.
This book was well written, but certainly had its flaws. I hope in the next book Deanna's homicidal tendencies will be explored more and the thriller aspect more developed. The ending here was a bit too easy for me. Jeremy was a totally superfluous character, and so was the "romance" in this book. I would not miss him if he vanished from the pages.
All in all, an unexpected and completely strange delight.
