The Summer I First Saw You by Elizabeth O'Roark

5.0

I absolutely adored this book. I know, I know. I have said that about all of ๐™ด๐š•๐š’๐šฃ๐šŠ๐š‹๐šŽ๐š๐š‘ ๐™พ'๐š๐š˜๐šŠ๐š›๐š”'๐šœ books, but I ๐™จ๐™š๐™ง๐™ž๐™ค๐™ช๐™จ๐™ก๐™ฎ loved this one. It was the absolute perfect blend of angsty push & pull between two beautifully chiseled characters and a love story that will live rent free in my soul.

Daisy. Bless her. From the start, I could see she was jealous of her Uncle Liam's best friend Harrison's LA girlfriend. Oh what fun ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ต was! And the strain that she has with her mom.....well, that just added to the angst and fun, especially when she "borrows" Harrison & Audrey's beach house. But, what she finds there.....well, it was unexpected and she quickly realized the ๐™ฉ๐™ง๐™ช๐™ฉ๐™ aboutHarrison.

Harrison. What a delicious man he was. From the very beginning he had me swooning. I melted many times through out this story! He was absolutely perfect with Daisy and I couldn't get enough! The way Daisy brought him back to the here and now, finding his love of surfing again, was beautiful!

๐ฝ๐‘Ž๐‘ ๐‘œ๐‘› ๐ถ๐‘™๐‘Ž๐‘Ÿ๐‘˜๐‘’'๐‘  deep rumble captured the very essence of Harrison, putting all his emotions into it. I loved listening to him! ๐‘†๐‘Ž๐‘š๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘Ž ๐ต๐‘Ÿ๐‘’๐‘›๐‘ก๐‘š๐‘œ๐‘œ๐‘Ÿ brought her absolute A game to Daisy's character. The flirting was perfect and blended beautifully with ๐ฝ๐‘Ž๐‘ ๐‘œ๐‘›'๐‘  voice.

These two characters rounded out the series magnificently. I was not ready to say goodbye, but they made the end of the journey well worth the wait. Age gap, banter, flirting and characters that have become friends to me, make up this story and you do not want to miss it!
