[3.something, rounded up] For big portions of this book I was kind of confused about how each of the main characters was interpreting the other main character’s actions, and some of the conflicts (both romantic and otherwise) were resolved a little too easily. On the other hand, this book had two of the things I want most in a romance novel: it took non-romantic relationships seriously (including platonic/non-sexual touch; there was a discussion of skin hunger that referenced academic literature!) and the main characters did not fall in love like two weeks after meeting each other.
