okay, this took a little while to get interesting but i liked it by the end. this is an in depth anatomy of a dysfunctional family that goes into a lot of detail for every single one of the characters' relationships, and does it very well. it does drag a little bit for the first third, since it seems to take a while for you to understand how all of this intersects/matters, but it does end up converging in a dramatic ending. i kind of liked how bittersweet/up in the air the ending was, because you get a satisfying conclusion for the bits that mattered without all the extraneous stuff that didn't need further explanations. i think it just took a little too long for everything to feel important so my attention waned a little too much for me to rate this more highly. i'd recommend this to people who enjoy strong characterisation in a solid dysfunctional family drama!

also i am a mia apologist, that girl deserved so much more. she was out here SERVING DRAMA and no one was giving her her roses for it
