Bruges-la-Morte and The Death-Throes of Towns by Georges Rodenbach

5.0

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this book but I absolutely loved it. Dealing with decadent themes of death, the occult, perversity and artifice, paired with the beautiful descriptions of a true flaneur, this gem maps out the intricate details of a city as if I’d lived there myself.
