First Thoughts When Finished: Old friends to new lovers is one of my favorite types of romance and this one was amazing!

Story Thoughts: Oh to live in Fool's Gold where extraordinary things happen to ordinary people. In fact, the part I loved most about 1/2 of the story was that Patience could be any normal gal. Most often stories tend to be between two people that have had out of the ordinary things happen to them but Patience is a single mom who is trying to do the best she can by her daughter (and doing a darn good job of it too). Made me pull for her and Justice even more. Now Justice did have extraordinary things happen to him but that made him a great balance for Patience!

Character Thoughts: Susan Mallery writes good characters! I always seem to fall for them and in this case I was already rooting hard for Patience. She is such a wonderful character and a great mom. She deserved an HEA of epic proportions and I think Justice was just the man to fill that bill. Now Justice I really loved 3/4 of the book. I will admit at the end I thought he was a little bone-headed though. He did come through but that was enough to pull me out of the story a little bit.

Audio Thoughts:
Narrated By Tanya Eby / Length: 9 hrs and 21 mins

I think Tanya is a great match for the Fool's Gold female characters. She has spunk, sweetness, and the right attitude for the strong ladies of Fool's Gold. I am still not a huge fan of her male voices but that doesn't distract from the story for me.

Final Thoughts: Fool's Gold is my "comfort" read series! This will go down as one of my favorites from the series!
