This reads like an incel Romeo & Juliet. Man meets a woman who tells him she’s in love with someone else. I was kind of surprised at how high it was rated. I think this is something I’d need to reread within its historical context to get more understanding of the work in regards to the author’s own life and circumstances which may have influenced the work.
