I didn't dislike the overall storyline of this book. I liked the characters well enough. But by God, I was so frustrated with the format by 100 pages in, I couldn't do it any more. The timelines hopped around all over the place, the points of view were different every single chapter, and all that was complicated even more by the fact that the main character assumes several different names throughout the course of her life. I may try again someday when I have more patience and focus because there was plenty to like too, but at this particular time I don't have it in me to keep trying.
Moderate: Death, Grief, Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Sexual content
