Swords for Hire by Will Allen

It's been ages since I read this book, and yet I still think about it often and remember how amazed I was reading it. I just got it along with about 10 other books from a library for summer reads, and read it first since it had the fewest pages. For such a short book, it had me hooked and I couldn't put it down until the end. It was hilarious and smart. It took everything about adventure books that are boring and cut it out. For most stories I would have found that cheap but the way it was written it worked so well. I finished it feeling devastated that the author died, 'cause he wouldn't be able to write anymore stories like this. I can not just sit down and read non-stop for hours on end, no matter how much I love the book, but this book had me reading it without putting it down once. I am still trying to find this book once again to buy it.
