The Duke Who Didn't
by Courtney Milan
This has everything my heart could want, Chloe our Hakka heroine, supremely sensible and purveyer of lists has a problem, several in fact.
1. She needs to name Unnamed Sauce, get revenge for her father and start an empire.
2. Jeremy Yu is back in town after a 3 year absence and causing all sorts of mayhem.
The bookworm trope meets childhood friend, ads in a healthy and oh god so needed dose of cultural appreciation and some of the most delicious descriptions of cooking ever to come from a historical romance novel, and I devoured it all.
So many thanks to Courtney Milan for continuing to stand for what she believes for, for publishing these very needed books in this very white space.
