okay... i did NOT enjoy this book. i should've seen it coming but the love triangle ruined it for me, especially because i hated BOTH love interests. i actually liked the writing and the overall lore, although i'm not a fan of the medieval aspect. bree as a character is the saving grace of this book as long as she wasn't in the vicinity of one of her love interests (i won't even name them that's how much i don't see them as impact fil characters). i'll still read the next one but i'm really hoping the story focuses more on bree and alice's platonic relationship instead for example, which i LOVED in this book.
