Even though for most of the book there didn’t seem to be one overarching plot we were following and I had no idea what was going to happen by the time the book ended, I was kind of just happy to go along for the ride. The world that was created with the humans, the fae culture, and the magic system was interesting with a lot to contemplate, and the roster of characters, as well as Lore’s interactions with them, were also fun to read and held my attention throughout the book. I love that Lore is in her twenties, and although it was funny and took me out of the world a little bit that so much of the fae world (like specific foods, anatomy, cities, etc) was pretty much just our human culture, it didn’t make me enjoy the book any less. A plotline did come up in the very end and I’m interested in seeing where the story goes in the next book!
