Graphic: Rape
The writing style of this book was very easy to get into. The chapters did feel quite long and daunting to get started in (45-107 pages on kobo) but once I started I would easily read them away.
I like how the writer took the time to give all the brothers personality before taking them away with the curse. Both main and side characters felt very well written and it was easy to feel invested in their stories.
There was a rape scene I had not expected when going into the book but it was well placed and fitting for the story. I feel the trauma was well done and not taken lightly. I do feel like the healing of this trauma throughout the book was very well done until the next time this character had intercouse and it felt too rushed to give enough detail for the healing of the character. I did not need a big smut scene for the happy ending but it would have been nice to put a bit more weight into the situation and what it would have done to her and what might have gone through her mind in this experience now that she wanted it.
The one thing that I truely disliked about this book is the amount of foreshadowing that happens. There would be a very nice scene that was exciting and had a good ending and then the last sentence would be along the lines of: 'but thing wouldn't stay this good' and I'd just lose the feeling of satisfaction and happiness for the characters in and instant and get an annoyed feeling of 'oh, what now'. It just felt very unnecessary to me.
If you're looking for a very relaxing fantasy with great characters and a nice vibe I definitely reccomend you read this book.
