Speak, Memory by Vladimir Nabokov
4.0

I was not as moved by this as by other novels by Nabokov, but sometimes his bare treatment of what "really" happened is a welcome treat. I have a feeling that in the end it all becomes what he would call fiction, and so this is in way just a very nonlinear kind of novel, apparently featuring himself as the speaker. Nevertheless it's all in his brilliant and beautiful prose.
