yeah i loved this book. it took me about 10 chapters to feel really immersed with a basic understanding of the new vocab/beings/world but once i was in, i was in. didn't care for the protagonist, Avice, at the beginning but i really liked the growth we see. mieville's focus on colonization was really interesting to read through on this planet with these ariekei.
