I was excited to read this book. But when I started to, I realized pretty quick that it wasn't going to be as good as I thought. The pacing was really slow and the transitions through the multiple POV's weren't very smooth. The story was kind of disjointed and there were some things that weren't explained. When they talk about going "there" They don't say much more. And the interlude that happens around the middle of the book, takes place years before the start of the story and I think it would have been better placed at the start as a Prologue, but it lasts multiple chapters over multiple POVs. Then the next part of the book takes place some undetermined time in the future, it was around there that I stopped. I tried reading more, but this book's pacing made me feel like it should have ended just before the Interlude, but it goes on for another 20-25 chapters before it's over.
I tried and I really wanted to love this book. It could be amazing but for me, the pacing and the lack of explaining made this book dull and sometimes a little confusing.
