This book was such a wonderful surprise! It was a little slow at first but man once you hit about the 30% mark it takes off like a rocket! The one slightly negative thing I have to comment on is that this book does not do a lot of explaining so you almost feel like you’re missing something, how do the Mages come to be and why are they just a normal part of society? I would have loved for that have been explained since this is the first book in the series and would have helped the world building a bit more. Another thing is if you don’t know anything about Greek mythology this book would have been so confusing for you, I’m lucky that I love reading Greek Mythology based PNR or I would have been lost in the sauce. All in all I really liked this book and can’t wait to read the next one, it sounds so intriguing.
