Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

5.0

At the beginning of this book, I wasn't for sure how much I would like it, but as I got more and more in to it, I started to like it more and more. There was a lot of very direct symbolism and I still can't tell if I liked that or not, but the novel as a whole was very poetic. I really enjoyed the story line and how Yoon experimented with the form a novel should be in. She inserted things into the novel other than just simply words in the standard novel form. It was interesting. I rated this novel five stars, but I'm still not for sure if that is deserving of this book. I'm not going to change it, but it is still something I'm going to think about. It was a good Y.A. novel, and I'm glad I read it, but I'm also going to move onto other things that I think I will enjoy more. Take all of this information and decide for yourself if you would enjoy this novel. If your favorite genre is Y.A., you'll love it, but if it's not (like me), you may not, but you still may. I'm just blabbering at this point.
