This is certainly a zippy read; I was looking for something light, and it hit the spot for sure. The whole conceit is sort of odd: At the beginning of the book, it is announced that a character has successfully predicted the future for thousands of years, and the rest of the book is just a series of confirmations that all of his predictions are 100% correct. It's certainly an unconventional approach to plotting, and it's somewhat surprising how gripping the book is given that approach.
I think every serious genre fan wants deep in their hearts for their favourite works to be recognized as literature, not just genre fiction. Well, this is not that. Still very happy I read it, and will read the next one for sure!
Oh, and the names are ridiculous.
