Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen

4.0

Raring things is so difficult. But this is on the better side of 3.5, so I've given it four.

My only experience of Austen prior to his was Pride and Prejudice (avec/sans zombies) and, due to that, I feel, it took a little longer to appreciate the Dashwood's and their wit. Although I particularly liked their "I don't give a fuck" attitude towards children.

I got drunk twice while reading it in the space of a weekend and will never think ill of my delighting in the word gay or enjoying comments about muffs. see what I did there making it sound all Austentatious. yeas. I am still slightly drunk.

it was good. read it.

it was also helped by the film making me think about Alan Rickman in a romantic way. it was strange how much I remembered of the film considering I'd complained about it being all Romantic etc. but there you have it. I specially remember being confused as to why Emma Thompson burst out into an embarrassing bout of crying and asking my mother why she had.

I would have liked more in depth growing of the romance between the last couple, however.

does any of this make sense? I hope so.

I have to go do a days worth of exercise in the space of an hour.
