All-New X-Men, Vol. 6: The Ultimate Adventure by Brian Michael Bendis, Stuart Immonen, Wade Von Grawbadger
4.0

I'm still enjoying this series, but not quite as much as Uncanny. Honestly, the characters just have a habit of being too whiny for me. I get it, they're still teenagers, but come on. A girl doesn't like you, cool, move on to something else. I don't need it to keep coming up. It's like they want to create their own version of the Wolverine/Jean dynamic but use Beast instead. And make them teenagers. And Jean is not that likable in this. She's cocky and invasive (first rule of being a good guy with psychic powers is do not run around just using your psychic powers on people, especially not if you're going to follow it up every time with, "Sorry, I'm really trying to not use my powers without permission.").

Plus there are some things that just logically didn't make sense. X-23 is on some highway going somewhere (turns out to be the Xavier school), but you have no idea where because the highway signs were blank. They had their own specific zoomed in panel, but were blank. And Warren somehow managed to get from the SOUTH POLE to CANADA in just a few hours? AND that other guy was somehow able to follow him on foot?

Logical plot holes aside, this was an entertaining read. I'm really starting to like Bobby and Warren and I love getting to see alternate realities and how everyone stacks up. Of course, it would've been nice if they labeled everyone since a few were never introduced and you had to google or guess the answer.

Mahmud Asrar is still on art and I really like his style. I like the design elements used, and it was cool to see the Ultimate versions come to life.

I'm still a fan of this series and what it is doing. I'm eager to see what is going to come next. I do hope they bring back Cyclops soon...
