This book was a wild ride and I am absolutely obsessed with it. Dark, mysterious, funny at times. The writing is beautiful and the story is tragic but exhilarating. I loved the atmosphere of the book; the author does a great job of mixing the macabre and gothic aesthetic with more sci-fi elements. I'd say the first few acts are slower-paced, but the middle of the book is where things really accelerate and I couldn't put it down. Gideon and Harrow have a deliciously complex relationship at the heart of the story. I couldn't help but fall in love with them as characters. There are so many twists and turns throughout the book-- and lots of bones, so many bones. Highly recommend if you want something dark, fantasy, a little gay, and with a little humor!
