Fable by Adrienne Young

4.0

This was so much fun! I really didn't expect it to be this good, and it honestly kind of restored my faith in YA.

I actually picked it up on a whim from my TBR because I was in the mood for some maritime vibes, the ocean, ships, pirates, treasures, and all that. And this book absolutely delivered!
The plot was actually quite interesting, though it lacked a little bit for me, but what made Fable worthwhile for me were the characters. I loved everyone of the crew on the Marigold, and I was super happy that Fable herself is a tough and strong, yet likeable and feminine character that kicks a**. Also, West! Thank God for male MCs with blonde hair who break the typical "tall, dark, alpha male" stereotypes that have taken over almost all of YA.

In conclusion, I was very much pleasantly surprised by this book, and will be moving on to part two now!
