This book was wicked cute.  There was a mystery aspect to the story that added another element. 

Evan, one of the main characters telling the story wants to solve the mystery of the Martinville Library Fire and the identity of H.G. Higgins.  A little free library pops up and Evan picks two books from it and that sets the wheels in motion.

  I loved Evan's friendship with Rafe, and the characters of Mortimer (the cat), and Al (the ghost librarian). 

I Loved the twist of H.G. Higgins being Evan's dad and how they rebuilt the library.

  This was a great read.
