Wilderness
by Lynn Burke
He embraced the feral side
Brock (MMC) was running from a bad accident that hurt him and others. It was that flight that he was off to brave the Alaskan wild. Before hiding out for a couple months off the grid, he meets a local lady that keeps his thoughts warm for the winter. Jessie (FMC) gets pissed over the constant harassment from a guy (Cort) in town. Cort threatens to ruin her and all she has left of her family. To forget about the problem she takes Brock on a nice no-strings attached ride for the night. The next morning, he is gone when she wakes. She is late for her pilot job and comes face to face with the one-night stand. Dropping Brock off in the wilderness was easy, staying away seems to become hard. Add in Brock’s personal trauma and Jessie’s problem with a local and things get bumpy. This story is a perfect easy read about two people redefining themselves and dealing with some serious dark problems. It gets gritty and dark with several trigger warning situations. TW/18+
