This book was not interesting. It was underwhelming and boring. I struggled to get through it. There were numerous descriptions of the town and surrounding area, but nothing to keep me interested or entertained. I found it difficult to keep my mind focused on the main character, and often flipped backwards to remember what was actually going on in the plot or who certain characters were. I ultimately did not care for how this book was written. The back and forth storytelling from summer of 2017 to the summer of 2018, was not for me. I have read Megan Miranda's book "All the Missing Girls", and enjoyed it, but this one missed the mark completely for me. I hope to continue reading her future work.
