“Unhealed trauma is a crack. And all the little hard things that trickle into it that would have rolled off someone else, settle. Then when life gets cold, that crack gets bigger, longer, deeper. It makes new breaks. You don’t know how broken she was or what she was trying to do to fill those cracks.” 💔

I will quite literally devour anything Abbey Jimenez writes! She’s easily one of my all-time favorites at this point.

This book does a fantastic job of unpacking PTSD and childhood trauma. And sometimes you can love people, but you can’t save them. I’m really happy with how the author chose to end the story.  Emma deserved to have the happy ending she never got, and she was never going to get that with Amber Grant weighing her down.
