Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

5.0

Re-read 2/23/2019

Just as freaking good as the first time I read it. This book is so pure and raw. I love it with all my heart.

What makes it wonderful is not only the plot but also the characters. Each and every one of them are so precious. I love them all to pieces. Specially Julian. He must be protected at all cost. He is honestly the best person ever. Any time I see him suffer or get hurt, I cry. It honestly hurts me to see him in pain. Same thing with Emma.

Anyway, I am just ready to go on and read the next two books and see what happens!!

Original 1/18/18, 1/20/18

I'm shook. Somebody call 911 (not literally) cause this book shattered me.

Cassandra Freaking Clare is trying to kill me I swear. How can anyone write such amazing book? Everything about this book is fabulous. Of course, I love the Shadow World but these characters...damn. They are everything.

My precious Julian. My heart hurts for him. He sacrificed so much for the kids. He is the center of family. The pillar that holds everything together. He gives and gives and gives without any expectations. He has a gentle heart and it hurts me just thinking of anyone breaking it. All he cares for is his family and Emma. He is literally the perfect boy. Oh Julian. He is a cinnamon roll.

And then there's Emma. She is so fierce and brave. She has been through everything alongside Julian. She supports him and helps him care for the family. And the main thing is she isn't a brat and I did not want to smack her like I always wanted to with Clary. Emma is determined and a true warrior. She is just a badass and I'm here for her.

I love every single character in this book. Livvy Ty, Dru, Tavvy, Christina, Diego, Mark, Diana, and Arthur. They all different and have their own personalities. It's going to be amazing to get to see more of them in the next 2 books.

As it's known I'm not the biggest fan of TMI and the only reason I read it was to get to TID and TDA. At first, I thought nothing would beat TID but after reading Lady Midnight I might have to say that TDA might become my favorite Shadowhunter series. This book was just so freaking amazing. It broke my heart into pieces and joined it again. I'm super pumped to read Lord of Shadows now. It's going to be an interesting journey.

And yes, I had to read it again in a matter of days cause its just soo freaking good!
