I didn't care for this one as much as the Stephanie Plum series. This is the first novel featuring Alexandra Barnaby (Barney). She receives a late night phone call from her brother and ends up flying to Miami to find him. While in Miami, she meets Sam Hooker, a NASCAR driver, who is seeking her brother because he "borrowed" Sam's boat without permission. Things become complicated when there is a sunken treasure of gold bars and a warhead from the cold war era and several parties interested in obtaining said treasure. The action is pretty good once it gets going.
