This healed me in a way I actually didn’t expect. I mean I knew it would be an incredible experience as one of the biggest fans of Aaron Anderson Warner, but wowie wow this is just what I needed. I feel like myself again 🎀

I have never laughed so hard at a book as I did this one. Literal out loud cackling and kicking and giggling. Kenji and Adam and Warner and James and the whole found family actually has a top tier dynamic, I laughed so hard at every one of their scenes. I’m sure I looked a little deranged cackling and aggressive highlighting.

James is FINEEEE which feels weird to say when we knew him as a kid but wow he really is the younger Aaron Warner x Kenji Kishimoto. Some madness and badness combination.

Mother Juliette didn’t make too many appearances this book but she was always giving peaceful wife energy, I actually love her with my whole soul. A hug from her would cure me.

Rosabelle is such an interesting character to read about. I’m honestly so excited to learn more about her and hopefully see her start to heal in the future from whatever the Reestablishment did to her. It’s giving Juliette’s healing arc in Shatter Me.

THE. MF. YEARNING. The way James was actually so down bad gave me LIFE. I loved the mental battle and longing and self hatred we get every time he’s within the vicinity of Miss Serial Killer. It’s pathetic in the best way possible, and I’m obsessed with the way Warner and Kenji nailed it right on the head.

Another incredible, fun, cozy, slightly nerve wracking, sitting-on-the-edge-of-my-seat read by Queen Taherah Mafi. Looking forward to loads more 💞
