What I Talk About When I Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami

slow-paced

2.75

I really wanted to enjoy this book. I love the premise - the travel memoir style, the drive the author has for running, the authors personality, etc. But I found the book lacking any sort of storyline which made it difficult to stay engaged. Too much of the book was spent detailing the different marathons, more than the authors reflections on it. Maybe it’s because I’m not a runner, maybe runners would enjoy this detail more.
