I really enjoyed If I Stay and never imagined what a follow up book would be like.  Told from Adam’s point-of-view and set three years later, Where She Went illustrated a more postponed grieving process.  I spent a good portion of the story grieving with Adam and wondering what had brought him to the point he was at as well as hoping he would find a way out of his hole.  The flashbacks intermixed with current day chapters slowly answered my questions while moving Adam forward inch by inch toward a better place emotionally.  One of the biggest themes in both books was music and when Adam was finally able to find joy in music again, I knew he would be ok.
