The audiobook narrator was a good time. The story itself…it’s fun if you’re not expecting too much.
We get into the story right from the beginning, we have a misunderstanding which results in kidnapping our male love interest who by another misunderstanding was actually supposed to be his brother. Sparks fly, we have another misunderstanding in which Conran thinks Evina is not a virgin because she’s widowed but whoops she was a child bride and nothing happened. Then he has to woo her because she thinks sex is horrible after that one encounter and he needs her to want to marry him. Lots of misunderstandings in this book.
I felt like things progressed really fast and I would have liked more buildup.
