Don't Cry for Me by Rachel Lacey

FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC FROM THE AUTHOR THROUGH ONE OF A VARIETY OF SOURCES. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

I don't normally read f/f romance, but I do enjoy this author's work, so I thought I'd give this one a try. I was pleasantly surprised by this book!

I really enjoyed the premise of the story, as it reminded me a lot of Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey, which I enjoy watching on occasion. It made for an interesting setting for the romance!

I especially loved Josie! She was spunky and kind-hearted, true to herself, loyal and just all around awesome! Eve was very off putting to me, I found it very hard to connect with her as a character. I get that it was because of the pain of her past, but she wasn't a very warm person at all, and that soured the relationship for me slightly. However, I could see the attraction to Josie as very realistic, even though I didn't agree with a lot of Eve's actions.

The book kept me engaged throughout. I found it to be an entertaining and enjoyable read and am looking forward to the next book in the series!
